Cassette + Digital Album
"Real Life Postcard Views" is the first tape by Grim Repeater.
While it was born digitally, Real Life Postcard Views was destined to be heard on tape. These cassettes are hand dubbed with love by me one at a time. A postcard is then picked for the cover and sent to you. Each tape is therefore a unique one-off copy. The tracklisting has evolved over the course of the 60 tapes. No two are exactly identical.
These cassettes contain all the tracks on the digital album, as well as numerous bonus tracks and full samples. Most of the tapes are 60 minutes. There are a limited number of 90 minute versions featuring a bonus EP.
Cassettes are various new old stock Sony and TDK tapes, usually type 1. Each cassette comes with its own real-life postcard cover, digital download, and customized tracklisting.
Currently on Batch #3 featuring 90 minute tapes with bonus EP and new tracks.

Hazy, fuzzy and slightly disjointed, Real Life Postcard Views is the sound of memories always moving further away. It was born inspired by long train rides and road trips soundtracked by odd playlists of Kraftwerk to Marvin Gaye to Glenn Miller.
This mixtape captures the many experiences one has among a journey of a lifetime. It's a synthesizer-led tour capturing the sights and sounds of the world around and within one's self. Through it, one can feel the nostalgia of a world gone by the window, never to be seen again. Hazy, fuzzy and slightly disjointed, Real Life Postcard Views is the sound of memories always moving further away.
This tape was played & recorded by the Grim Repeater in his 1414 Home Studio over the course of 2014 through 2016.
This tape is available as a condensed digital album and as a fully featured 60 minute cassette tape. Cassettes include digital copies.

When I close my eyes and slip into sleep
I see in shadows an aged palace
a giant house of grey white stone
and there's nobody who calls it home
I step inside its off white walls
the sound of laughter echoes down the halls
I start to follow, turn round the corner
to my surprise there is no one
it's only me
it's only me
it's only me inside the house of dreams
